CK126: Lefty's Interview

Lefty was featured in a 2-page interview in Comic King #126 (Nov 2010). The interview was conducted by Sandra through MSN and presented the way they chat. The result was very casual and easy to read.

Comic King (CK) is the only mandarin comics magazine in Malaysia. For those who could read mandarin and like comics + movies + games, CK is available every month at most book shops.

MMCS Year Book Launches @Bookfest KLCC


Malaysia Mandarin Comics Society (MMCS) will be launching it's Year Book vol.2 at Bookfest 2010. The theme for this year's volume is "Childhood" and it collects more than 40 Malaysian comics artists exclusive artworks. All 3 Gilamons work are featured in this volume.

MMCS Year Book vol.2 will be available at MMCS booth at Bookfest 2010, from 4-12 Sep. Each book is sold for only RM20 and 10% of the sales will be donated for charity. Please buy one (or more) in support of our local comics artists.

Liquid City vol 2 Now Available For Pre-Order

Image Comics to release second volume of critically acclaimed LIQUID CITY anthology in September.

Lefty's story entitled "The Way Back" is lucky enough to be included in the anthology among the works of great Southeast Asian creators. LIQUID CITY, VOL. 2 has Lat's vignette of a soccer game in Malaysia, Ivan Song's poignant near-future tale of childhood memories, Vietnamese artist Nguyen Thahn Phong's account of his adventures in South Korea and more.

MMCS 1st Anniversary @The One


To celebrate the 1st anniversary of Malaysia Mandarin Comics Society (MMCS), the society is organizing a series of comics industry related talks on the 17th of July, 2010 at The One Academy(TOA). Many of the industry professionals will be there to share their experience. Lefty and Sau Lim will be sharing the stage with Gun Yoong Peng (Editor, Gemilang Publishing) to talk about "Submission Guidelines and Censorship"(2-2:50pm) whilst Michael Chuah will be teaming up with Aliow, Totoro (both co-creator of Oka) and Jon Dep (Magic Boy) on "Acquired Skills of A Professional Comics Artist"(2-4pm).
