Pop-in for Popcorn

POPCORN, Gempak Starz's first English anthology that features creator-owned materials is coming out this month. It will be launch during 100% Gempak Starz Exhibition. The venue will be at Dasein Academy of Art on 11/10/2008 from 9am-6pm. Tan Eng Huat, the featured artist of Popcorn's inaugural issue will have a talk about his working experience in the international comic scene. Gilamon Michael will also share his experience as a freelance
artist/ designer. There will be lots of original artworks from Popcorn displayed along with some other goodies up for grab. The exhibition will be from 11-24/10/2008 at Dasein. See you there.

Manicmon II


The second issue of MANIC Creative has just came out. The comic section features the latest tale of Lefty's Major Zombie and Kaktus (with Mikey the Maggot, of course). This issue features a very nice cover by the whacky and talented Shanghai knight, Driv. You can find a copy of Manic Creative in every Don't Panic goodie pack. Most importantly, its FREE!!!

Liquid City @ Previews

Liquid City, the comic anthology that is edited by Sonny Liew will be coming out in November by Image Comics. We are featured in it along with some of the very talented creators mainly from the region of South-east Asia, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Gilamon's works in Liquid City are:
Michael Chuah's 'Cube'
Chin Sau Lim's 'The Chicken Licken Phenomenon'
and Lefty's 'For Love'

Lefty has posted an entry of his STCC experience in IACAScW.(Inaugural Asian Comis Art Symposium come Workshop, probably the most constructive and helpful comic industry-based forum in Malaysia)
